The "mMm Wellness 5" - The Benefits

There are 7-9 categories of wellness, depending on whom you ask, but I like my clients to focus on a major 5. They were chosen based on their accessibility and overall impact on your health. These are the 5:

  1. Sleep

  2. Food

  3. Fitness

  4. Mental

  5. Active Life

So the list of benefits I'd like to tell you about today is the most important. This is the list of known benefits for improving in ANY of the 5 wellness categories listed above. For instance, ALL of the 5 help to improve your mood, but they all do that in their own way.


But before you read them, this is a good time to mention a few things:

  1. I'm not a doctor or a scientist, and I'm not citing my sources here today. So you should do your own research on the benefits listed here.

  2. I could also go into great detail as to why/how every item on this list works to give you these benefits, but I'll leave that up to you as they are mostly settled sciences and should be very easy to look into as a result.

  3. This is not an exhaustive list and there are many other know benefits for these 5 wellness types. Some of which are exclusive benefits to the wellness type that are not mentioned on the list below.

So without further ado, here is the list that ALL 5 wellnesses improve :

  1. Mood

  2. Sleep

  3. Stress

  4. Energy

  5. Healing

  6. Memory

  7. Immunity

  8. Longevity

  9. Heart Health

  10. Weight Loss

  11. Chronic Pain

  12. Inflammation

  13. Quality of Life

  14. Mental Function

  15. Disease Prevention

That list is like a treasure chest of amazing things that could be better in your life. All of these can be unlocked with the 5 basic wellness practices, and that's not even the end of the benefits! So, hopefully, this opens your eyes a little wider in terms of the power of wellness. Or, at the least, starts you off on a path of discovery. So that brings me to my Actionable Advice of the day: Pick any benefit from that list that intrigues you and look into it. Find out how about how/why the 5 wellness types improve it. Find the studies that proved it so. Find the people who changed their lives by implementing it. Build your conviction and knowledge, and then TAKE ACTION! You are always just a few good habits away from a better you and a better life.
